The "outer" jaw is carried on a frame that is adjusted by a screw similar to "monkey-wrenches." The bearing points for the screw are the under side of the fixed jaw, and a handle ferule. The bearing in the ferule is a slot, so the screw can move in or out as the movable jaw rocks. |
