| The internal ratchet in this "in-line" is the same as the ratchet mechanism in patent no. 2,283,382. The "reversing ring" structure is similar to that shown as Fig. 6 in those drawings, with buttons extending through the surrounding frame to hold the "ring" during the reversing adjustment.
Alloy Artifacts shows a BLACKHAWK #49973 in-line ratchet marked with four patent numbers: RE19287, 1927844, 1995009 and this patent.
