Description: |
The rotating head is held in adjustment by a cam lever.
Known small example marked DUCHARME PAT APP FOR includes an "alligator" type opening and sliding pin to hold the adjustment. It probably relates to the earlier existence of the DuCharme Wrench & Novelty Co. of Johnstown, PA (1909-1910) & Cambridge, OH (1911 - 1917??), as it resembles a drawing in a 1909 AMERICAN MACHINIST writeup about the Johnstown company.
William S. DuCharme was an officer of the EFFICIENT VISE & WRENCH CO. of Cleveland, founded in 1918, and the company's TURRET HEAD WRENCH was advertised in 1920. |
