Description: |
My invention relates to the combination of a drill holder containing two or more holes for holding the drills when the said drills are in use, and a drill-rest; the whole when so formed being easily and quickly adjusted to accommodate drills of any size required, without the removal of the drill-holder from the rest. It is frequently necessary, in drilling iron or other metals with a drill, which does not revolve, to use a number of different sizes of drills. This necessitates a change in the size of the drill-holder, as those commonly employed have but one hole or receptacle for one size of drill, and this continual changing of the, drill - holder necessitates also a corresponding change in the elevation of the rest to enable the drill to be always in a line with the center attached to the tail-stock of the lathe, in order that the-hole in the piece drilled should be true.
