Description:
The lever handle portion of the patent was "blended" with Collison & Wright's 1911 patent (no. 1,010,479) in the earliest version of the wrench marked "Collison-Wright "S" Wrench. Ord Mfg. Co. Ord, Neb. Pat'd Dec. 5, 1911."

This 1918 patent was used "as is" for the version marked "Collison-Wright "S" Wrench. Mf'd by Parrot Mfg. Co. Frement, Neb. Pat'd Dec. 5, 1911." This 1918 patent was the basis for all further production including a post WWII revision (pat. no 2,533,436). Most of the pre-1950 tools have the "Ord Mfg. Co." stamp; the post-1950 ones are stamped "Collison's "S" Wrench. Collison Mfg. Co. Bruning, Nebr. Pat. May 29, 1946." Bruning is a village of fewer than 200 residents; the tools were assembled in a former chicken barn adjacent to Collison's grain elevator and feed mill there.
