With the addition of a screw holder, Patent #730804 June 9, 1903 also by Laroy S. Starrett, it becomes the #551.Both the #550 and #551 are sold in the #17 Starrett catalog 1905 , but by 1925 only the #551 is offered. Sample has both Patent dates on the screw holder and the screw holder is marked #551. The screw driver has only the 5/26/1903 patent on it and the #550. |
