Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Linham Dado Machine Co.
|
Description: |
The inventor had died before the patent was issued. According to a genealogy website, Robert E. Linham (who went by his middle name, Edwin) died at age 35 in 1890; four years earlier he had fallen while working at a lumber yard and hurt his back, and his death was a result of complications from that injury. His wife, Herma "Hermie" Linham, was his executor and seems to have built Linham Dado Machine Co., which was in its infancy when Edwin died. |
