Description: |
An innovation here is the use of a rubber feed-roll, which provides better grip and eliminates the need for a bed roller.E. F. Gordon's woodworking machinery patents before this one were assigned to John A. White, but this patent is un-assigned. Most likely it was used by John A. White, but that is unconfirmed at this time. Gordon partnered with Horatio Hobbs to form Hobbs & Gordon, a firm that made steam-heating equipment. At the time this patent was issued, Gordon had already received one steam-radiator patent which was co-assigned to Hobbs. He received one more woodworking machinery patent after this one, and that patent was assigned to John A. White. Three subsequent patents for steam heating were jointly awarded to Messrs. Hobbs and Gordon. |
