Description: |
The patent incorporates a pair of cutting disks into a pliers formed from sheet metal. Bernard refers to his May 6, 1890 patent (no. 427,220) and another pending patent (issued as no 526,479, Sept. 25, 1894) as examples of pliers to which this patent could be applied. The patent assumes the central pivot bolt is removable.
One known example is a LODI all sheet metal pliers marked LODI / PAT. SEP. 25 1894.; the patent date also appears in an 1898 "new product" announcement for Schollhorn's PARAGON CUTTING PLIERS. |
