Description: |
This design features a pair of mirror-image miter templates, joined together at the tip to allow them to be used as a compass. Each side can be used to mark 90, 45, 60 and 72 degree angles.
It's actually a pretty clever idea, but I'm not sure how well this would work as a compass. The patent was assigned to John Tower, one of the owners of Tower and Lyons (a major tool manufacturer in New York), but it is not known if this tool was ever produced by them. |
