Description:
The wrench combines a square socket fitting an axle nut and pegs that extend into holes bored in the wheel hub. The effect is to lock the axle nut to the wheel, and then the nut is removed by turning the wheel. The specifications differentiate this patent from Charles Morgan's August 7, 1866 patent (no. 56980).
