Description: |
The patented feature is having the swinging jaw pivoting on a sliding base which is adjusted by a screw. The description says the screw can extend from the fixed jaw to the end of the handle. The drawing shows the adjusting screw extending between a handle ferule and the fixed jaw. The swinging jaw is held in the working position by a spring.
Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" says Wills made this wrench. Miniaturist Jim Keats produced working miniatures. |
