Description: |
The swinging hook jaw can be moved from one side to the other of the main bar. The end of the main bar has gripping corners at different distances from the pivot pin. The specifications note the handle could be supplied with several sizes of hook jaws.
Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" cites an 1860 "Scientific American" listing indicating Smith sold this wrench as "Smith's Patent Pipe-Nippers." |
