Description: |
| A two-part adjustable jaw comprised of a sliding jaw face and adjusting screw loosely connected to a base with an internal peg which can quickly be moved from one hole in the main shank to another. The base is held in position by a spring. Moving the base accomplishes the quick adjustment; the adjusting screw accomplishes the final fine adjustment. This patent shares some basic concepts with McDonald's April 23, 1863 patent (no. 38,316). |
