Description: |
This is perhaps the most complicated parallel ruler ever invented. It
features a rack and pinion adjustment that drives a worm gear driving
a second pair of racks, each attached to a scissor joint connecting the
two rules.
The inventor claims this tool to be more accurate and less likely to
get out of alignment. but I think these benefits would be dwarfed by
the fragility of the mechanism.
