Description: |
Try square with one side of the preforations aligned with a graduated scale on the blade. This allows a pencil to be inserted into the slot for marking accurate lines parallel to the face of the square as would be needed when marking a board for ripping.
Mr. Shireman references Farnam's patent 171,927 which also uses perforations for laying out lines. |
