Description:
The focus of the patent is the "forward" wire cutter notches in line with the jaws. The cutters are formed so that the jaws grasp the severed wire.

The feature is found in UTICA cutting pliers, including the No. 1000 "Button" pliers introduced at the time of this patent.

Some UTICA pliers with the feature include the patent date forged in the handle.
