Description:
The patent is an improvement on Arment's Nov. 23, 1880 patent (no. 234,646). The can opener blade will remove a narrow ribbon of metal and coil it. The secondary cutter is on a sliding block. The corkscrew shown in the drawing is not mentioned in the specifications, but is carried over from the earlier patent.
