Description:
Recess-boring tool "which will in one operation bore a recess having a portion of its (depth) cylindrical in contour and the remaining portion tapering or conical in contour. The invention aims to provide a recess-boring tool which can be used in a machine or with a carpenter's ordinary brace..." The flared recess was intended for wedged tenon joints.
