| Most of the patents prior to 1836 were lost in the Dec. 1836 fire. This patent's specification, however, survived, and the drawing was later re-created from the patent model. The inventor was proprietor of the Whitman Agricultural Works and it is likely that they manufactured this roasting jack. |
