Vintage Machinery entry for Clipper Belt Lacer Co.
Description:
This is the initial patent for the Clipper belt-lacer system. A few years later the inventors obtained patent 966,697 for the use of a piece of cardboard to hold the staples in position for inserting into the belt lacer. Over a century later, the Clipper Belt Lacer Company system of belt lacers and staples arranged in cardboard strips is still available from Flexco, the successor to the Clipper Belt Lacer Co.
