| Both arms are moveable with the wooden arm with the level having a fixed index mark (the scale moving) and the metal bevel blade having a moveable index with both utilizing a set screw (thumbnut) to fix the desired angle. A level is shown contained in the wooden arm and included in the description but it is not included in the two claims for the patent application.
Known examples marked W.T. FISHER/PAT'D./JUNE 23RD 1868 and incorporate the level in the one arm. |
