Description:
The handle is comprised of two pieces which coordinate with a flared socket in the hammer head. The "cheek piece" has wide ends which wedge into the socket in the head. The specifications also describe a straight peen hammer head with a nail-pulling notch, but the head is not a feature of the patent.
