Description:
This is a small sheet metal contraption that attaches to a hinge leaf to form a simple hinge template as well as scratch gauge for marking the hinge thickness. This gage underwent several patented iterations (940,001), 1,031,995), each refining this basic idea. Sample marked, 'Gelbaugh Patent, Feb 2-1904.'
