"Vintage Machinery" entry for Grinnell Mfg. Co. (Koch Mfg. Co.)
Description:
This is the "Modern" combined punch and shears as made by the Koch Mfg. Co. of Montezuma, IA. That town was not well suited to a manufacturing business so in 1905 Koch relocated the business to nearby Grinnell and reorganized it as the Grinnell Manufacturing Co. So far as we can tell the latter firm specialized in the Modern power hammer and did not make the shears.
