Description:
This invention consists in a swinging frame suspended from a sliding stock and carrying the tracing-pin, in combination with a moving pattern and with the tool-box which carries the graving tool, whereby the movements of the said graving tool may be guided by the movements of the pattern, at the same time that it may be pressed by the operator or attendant against the surface of the article to be engraved. The invention further consists in certain novel arrangements of parts whereby the graving tool and the mechanism operating the same may be adjusted in any required position, with reference to the mandrel which carries the watch-case or other article, and whereby the lateral movement of the graving tool required to enable. the said tool to follow the outline of the pattern may be readily and conveniently communicated thereto.
