Vintage Machinery entry for Richardson, Meriam & Co.
Description:
This patent was seen on a Daniels planer from Richardson, Meriam & Co. at Percy & Small shipyard mill, part of the Maine Maritime Museum. It was also reported on a planer-matcher and a circular resaw, both from the same company. An 1869 advertisement for Richardson, Meriam & Co. lists S. F. Bond as a partner in the business; one of the witnesses on this patent, William B. McIver, was also a partner (there were only two other partners, being Horace A. Richardson and Rufus N. Meriam).
