Vintage Machinery entry for Ephraim Brown
Description:
Of interest because co-inventor Ephraim Brown went on to invent and manufacture treadle-powered woodworking machines. Note that although the patents on either side of this one have a grant date of 1849-04-17, and this patent's drawing has the same date, the patent specification itself is dated 1849-05-18. We have no explanation for the discrepancy.
