Description:
"My invention relates to a hammer hand-sling for drillers' use in mining, especially for striking a drill upwardly. My invention has for its object to partially or at intervals transfer the weight of the hammer from the handle grasped by the hand to the wrist or forearm by a sling connecting the head of the hammer and the wrist of the user and a clutch connecting the handle of the hammer to the sling, so that the user can swing the hammer to strike the drill without the laborious effort of continually grasping the handle of the hammer."
