Description:
This planer-matcher design uses moving beds both above and below the stock. This seemingly impractical design was likely at attempt to avoid the Woodworth planer patent monopoly (see patent 5,315X). Inventor Woodbury had earlier applied for another patent that was eventually granted twenty-five years later; see patent 138,462.
