Description:
A search failed to turn up any hints of the inventor's employment at the time of this patent. In 1907, he was the superintendent of the Lowell Machine Shops. In their early history that firm made machine tools, but by the 1870s seem to have dropped their machine tool line in favor of textile and paper machinery.
