Description:
The leading face of each skew-tooth is perpendicular, and deepens toward the trailing edge. The back, or "clearing" surface deepens in the alternate direction, with the aim of facilitating the exit of the shavings produced by the following tooth. Zollinger mentions that this tool is to be sharpened with a file.
