Description:
Hook jaw operated by a hand lever and connecting rod and linkage. Gear teeth on the shank adjacent to the fixed jaw carry the "strain" from the movable jaw to the shank. The drawing is titled "Wilson's Wrench."

Corresponding U.S. patent no. 555,797 was issued March 3, 1896.

A modified version received U.S. patent 1,060,391 Apr. 29, 1913.
