Description:
The 1893 "Buffalo Directory" lists Jacob Emig as "foreman toolmaker". Emanuel V. Abrams worked at Abrams & Co. at 104 Pearl. That firm was a partnership of Abrams and I. Hyman, "manufs. of pants, overalls and shirts, 104 to 106 Pearl". We assume that Abrams was an investor. We could not find any evidence that this lathe chuck was ever manufactured.
