The firm of Nichols, Peck & Co., of Bridgeport, Ct., manufactured carriages. The firm was founded by James K. Nichols, who was succeeded by his sons, George K. Nichols and David S. Nichols. "They made coaches and light carriages, chiefly for the Southern States and Texas, making also a specialty in Mexican coaches."
