By means of a pivoting cutter with two cams and a threaded sleeve and nut/handle arrangement, this bit is designed to be able to produce an undercut hole. I. e. the hole is larger at the bottom than the top - ..."especially desirable for the insertion of rubber or other elastic studs or buttons, which are firmly held therein."
