Description:
To prevent clogging, the throat of a molding plane is cut to curve away from the cutter. The internal wedge is secured with a screw.

This patent was issued November 3, 1863 and antedated to October 24, 1863.

Howe had an earlier patent on cutter adjustment 37694 that Roger Smith in PTAMPIA1 says have no known examples.
