Vintage Machinery entry for Atlas Press Co.
Description:
Brothers Charles B. Eames and Gardner T. Eames manufactured this pulley in Racine in a short-lived venture, Eames Bros. They then relocated to Kalamazoo and with other investors established the Eames Pulley Co. This venture quickly ended in business failure, recriminations and a lawsuit. Gardner T. Eames would go on to establish three different businesses named the G. T. Eames Co., the middle of which would go on to become the Atlas Press Co.
