This is a special-purpose marking gage designed to aid in laying
out architectural moldings in stone. The design is quite unusual,
much like a bevel gage with the marking attachment hanging off
the blade of the bevel. This design allows the stock to ride on
the top of the stone, and the marking point to reach around parts
of the molding already cut.
