Description:
Patented only a few short years before Stanley introduced the remarkably similar No. 57 corebox plane to the market, the Collins patent employed an identical fixing and tensioning mechanism to regulate adjustment of the "wings". Could it be that Stanley either purchased the patent or incorporated it into the design of the No. 57? (Courtesy and (C) Martin J. Donnely www.mjdtools.com)
