"Vintage Machinery" entry for Wilton Corp.
Description:
The Wilton PowRscrew hydraulic vise was intended for manufacturing use where the vise could be set to its "open" distance and then a lever would move the jaw hydraulically a maximum of 1/2" or so. The activation was rapid and the clamping force could be quite high. It was also quite complex and was one of several Wilton attempts at a hydraulically operated bench vise.
