Description: |
This is the very first patent for a tilting-arbor table saw—at least, it is the very first patent where the arbor-tilting mechanism is claimed. The inventor mentions both "mills driven by steam and water power, for heavy work" and "portable machines working by a treadle" as possible applications of his invention. We have found no evidence that this saw was ever manufactured. |
