Description:
The handle is square; it fits in a square bench-mounted socket when used as a vise. The rod handle used to tighten the jaws when the tool is used as a vise is removable, and can be stored in the bench socket when the tool is used as a wrench.

An example of Russel's Vise and Wrench was shown at the 10th Massachusetts Charitable Mechanics Association Exhibition in Sept., 1865.
