Description:
The focus of this patent is a metal casting, attached to a cross-cut saw handle, with a captured rivet. The rivet drops into a countersunk hole to allow the saw blade to enter a notch in the casting. It is then pushed up through an appropriate hole in the blade and is clamped in place by the tightening of a bolt against the end of the blade.
