Description:
Horace Merrill is described as a civil engineer on the patent jacket. The invention is a saw that can cut in both direction. "What I claim as my invention is a Saw with the teeth cutting half its length in one direction and the other half in the opposite direction, each half having a rake towards the buck, the saw therefore being narrower in the centre than at the ends, as above specified and shown."
