Description:
The primary focus of this patent is on the interaction of the ends of the blade with lugs on the handle to capture the handle in one of two positions (indicated in the drawing). First produced by Spring and Robinson (Charles Spring and John T. Robinson), it was also produced by C. E. Jennings under the trade name of Hinsdale Mfg. Co. according to an 1892 advertisement.
