Description:
"A chain drive is used for boring and facing machines of the type type referred to in Specification GB-191,011,650. The chain K passes from a wheel L in the base over a top wheel M' and over wheels L1, M carried in the headstock, back gear being provided for the headstock. In a modification, the wheels L1, M are dispensed with, and an upper chain-wheel drives through bevel-gearing a splined vertical shaft from which the headstock is driven."
