Description:
There are ratchet teeth in a ring on the jaw and face plate on the handle. There is a chamber on the "back" side of the handle with compressible material such as rubber. The screw which attaches the wrench head to the handle bears on a washer which can compress this springy material, allowing a ratchet action between the handle and jaw.
