Description:
The patent is a revolving screw whose threads work into worm teeth cut into the edge of the wrench handle. The screw is within the movable jaw.

An example marked "A.B. TAYLOR HAGUE ST. NEW YORK, N.Y. PATENT 1840" appeared as lot no. 625 of the October 14, 2006 mjdtools auction at Indianapolis, IN. An 1847 ad shows Taylor marketing the wrench at that location.
