Description:
The patent presents two alternate expanding friction-drive wrench heads for screwing metal bushings into bung holes in wooden barrels.

This patent and Littlejohn's subsequent patent (no. 145,807), were challenged by George B. Cornell, inventor of a competing system of barrel bush insert and corresponding wrench -- see patent nos. RE5,026 and RE5,027).
